Æsculapius Hits the Range! (And raises £556 for charity)
On Saturday 12th August, 17 members and guests descended on the National Shooting Centre at Bisley to take part in an afternoon of target shooting. The rifles on offer spanned 4 calibres and dated from 1917-2016, giving everyone plenty of variety...
During 4 hours of shooting, we fired over 400 rounds of ammunition, with everyone hitting the target most of the time! There was a friendly competition for some small prizes which provided motivation to do well, and the standards on the day were a pleasant surprise.
Afterwards, members, guests and some of the markers and coaches enjoyed a 3-course dinner at one of the Bisley clubhouses. Thanks to the fees for the day and the generous contributions of members to a raffle, a total of £556 was raised to be donated to a charity of choice at a later date (after our next meeting in October).
Thanks to all who came along!
